Our opinion
This reasonably sized building, set in a magnificent region quite close to Paris, is in an excellent state of repair.
The comforts of everyday life have meant the loss of several architectural period features, but the overall character of the property has been preserved and it radiates feelings of goodwill.
A herd of deer is responsible for the upkeep of a section of the parklands, asking for very little in exchange, and come summer, it is apparently possible to swim in the lake.
