Description
Set in the heart of a village, this property with its 1,900 m² (0.47 acre) Renaissance-style garden is enclosed by walls on two sides and by hedges.
The L-shaped dwelling, built in 1499, still features mullioned windows and roof dormers. It adjoins another dwelling, from which it is separated by a stone wall on the garden side.

A contemporary, oak wood suspended stairway leads upstairs to a landing set out as an open-plan bedroom. A narrow corridor leads to a bedroom, and two large rooms currently used as reception rooms, but which could be transformed into bedrooms.
The vast 120 m² (1,292 sq ft) attic awaits conversion; terracotta tiled floors, lime-rendered walls, ceilings featuring exposed oak beams and monumental fireplaces.
Our opinion
Walking and exploring are the order of the day in this pastoral region. The tastefully renovated, contemporary parts of this character residence can in no way offend purists. Future owners wanting to leave their mark on the property will be able to undertake the conversion of the attic space. And yet another asset is the ability to be able to walk to the local shops for provisions.
