Description

The property
The property is accessed via a driveway running between the rows of vines. Two pavilions opposite the castle border the courtyard, opening on to parklands with trees of over one hundred years old. Swimming pool with safety fencing, complete with terrace and vast pool house.
The castle
Facing due south, it receives a maximum of sunlight. The castle is rectangular in shape and has a wing set at right angles to the west. It spans three stories with approx. 9,687 sq ft of living space.
On the ground floor, adjoining reception rooms decorated in the style of the 18th century: mosaic floors, marble fireplaces, trumeaux and wainscoting. Right-hand turn, triple revolution, straight run, white stone stairway.
Upstairs, suites and bedrooms recently restored in the property’s 18th century spirit.
The outbuildings
Two square pavilions with Mansard roofs. This vast area inside in pristine condition is waiting to be put to good use.
Service quarters, an upstairs part of which was recently converted into a two-storey flat.

Our opinion

The situation of this property between the centre of town and the countryside, easy to access and close to Lyon, is an undeniable asset.
The castle has been elegantly restored, with a mind to entertaining, and the home comforts required by a family have not been forgotten. The outbuildings have also been restored, enabling the future owners to develop a multitude of projects, without for all that being a disadvantage for a family that might not wish to put them to a specific use.
