178 miles from Paris, 175 of which are on motorway and main road, not 10 miles from Laval TGV train station, putting the capital only 100 minutes away.

Description
13 acres of landscaped parklands: lawns, grasslands and woods stretch out on either side of the castle to which a wonderful avenue leads.
To the west side, the stable block hides the old farm.
The castle
Built in 1840 in the Neo-gothic style, robustly built of rendered rubble stone.
The lancet windows on the ground floor are framed with dressed stone as are the rectangular ones on the first floor. The second floor is illuminated by clerestory windows going up into roof dormers. In the centre, the coat-of-arms of the Family from the Anjou area for whom the castle was built.
The slate roofs were partially restored in 2006; those of the west tower and the west gable of the main building are soon to be done.
Inside, the building had not undergone any modifications prior to the recently completed restoration works: plumbing, heating and electrical wiring are all new. It has been completely redecorated by highlighting the numerous features from the original decor such as the flagstone floors with inlaid slate decorations, terracotta floor tiles and diagonal oak parquet flooring as well as beautifully made marble fireplaces and an impressive wood fireplace.
Approx. 7,535 sq ft of living space: superb reception rooms on the ground floor on both sides of the entrance hall, eleven bedrooms and seven bath or shower rooms upstairs; the garden level comprises a large dining room and a kitchen.
The outbuildings
. The old stable block spans a floor surface area of approx. 2,153 sq ft: 646 sq ft stables, 431 sq ft garage, 1,076 sq ft divided between the tack room and three other rooms. Attic over the entire building awaiting conversion.

. Ruins of a small building with a floor surface area of 538 sq ft.
Our opinion
A 19th century castle of architectural interest and, as is so often the case during this era, of good quality construction. Completion of the rendering will give the building back its proud appearance. The entire building has been redone or will be prior to the sale. The majority of the furniture is available for sale as well as the castle; it is, therefore, possible to take possession of the property very quickly.
The parklands have the advantage of being varied: lawns and flower beds for garden aesthetes, grasslands for horse riders as well as the woods, essential to wildlife.
For those with the desire to indulge in works, the old stables will be delighted that they are there.
