Seine-facing, two-storey flat on top floors in Paris’ 7th arrondissement

Location

On the riverside, just a stone’s throw from the French National Assembly, facing the “Place de la Concorde”, on the top floors of a 19th century building; a flat with 148 m² (1,593 sq ft) of measured living space.

Description

Two communicating reception rooms, with strip pattern parquet flooring and walls decorated in the style of Napoleon III, open on to a bordering balcony via three inward-opening French windows, giving a glimpse of the Tuileries gardens and the “Hôtel de la Marine”.
Overlooking the courtyard are two bedrooms which could be made into one, a bathroom, a shower room and the kitchen with access to the back stairs.
A study extends into a wide dressing room on the top floor overlooking the courtyard. On the same floor is a maid’s room that is currently separate from the flat.
There is also a lock-up garage which is very easy to access situated in the courtyard.

Our opinion

Domestic floors often benefited from a superb view; here, unusually it is a flat of high standing that has it. Thousands raise their eyes when passing near to the obelisk to get a good look at one of the best addresses in Paris, whereas once at the top, a single look is sufficient to encompass the whole of Paris.
