Left bank

Fully renovated 2,885 sq ft, facing the Seine

Location

Between the Trocadéro gardens and the Bir-hakeim bridge, with a direct view of the Eiffel Tower. On the third floor of a building with a lift. Although the construction is more recent, the style is that of the 18th century.
The building is directly accessed from the quay, and the elegant proportions of its vast entrance hall, secured by a digital door code, bring that of a Parisian mansion house to mind.

Description

This unoverlooked, through flat, with a floor surface area of approx. 2,906 sq ft and 323 sq ft of staff accommodation, spans an entire floor of the building.
The flat is accessed via an armoured door, opening on to an entrance hall with parquet flooring that separates the living area perfectly from the night area.
On the left is a lounge and dining room, separated from one another by a corridor formed by four open pillars.
On the right is a large lounge, predominantly illuminated via the four double French windows, with a direct view over the Seine, the Bir-Hakeim bridge and the Eiffel tower. This area has African teak wood parquet flooring laid parallel fashion, and is currently laid out in two symmetrical parts; one around bookshelves, and the other facing a very wide, wall-integrated, gas-fired fireplace. The ceiling is a combination of styles with the old wrought mouldings and a suspended ceiling where sixteen incandescent lights are recessed.
On the other side is the dining room in the same style as the lounge, with two large windows decorated with floral motif, stained glass windows from the Art Deco period.
The kitchen is set out around a large central range and Siena stone work surface. Fully equipped, it has numerous integrated cupboards.
Adjoining this is a closed laundry room and the access to the staff accommodation via a security door.
On the other side, the night section is accessed by means of a corridor that goes around the inner courtyard. The master bedroom has a large dressing room containing numerous cupboards and a separate toilet.
The bedroom is thickly carpeted and is fitted with a sound system to give a better sound distribution from the flat screen television integrated in the opposite wall.
The adjoining bathroom, completely done out in Burgundy stone, has a tropical-style shower with a sloping floor and a rain shower head. It also has a bath, two wash-hand basins, numerous cupboards and a heated towel rail; all overlooking the Seine. Permanently accessible via the corridor, the study and a bedroom overlook the recently restored inner courtyard. Between these two rooms are a shower room in Siena stone and a toilet. Both bedroom and study have large storage cupboards.
Also in the same building, the staff accommodation comprises a double bedroom of approx. 323 sq ft with a balcony; there is a cellar in the basement.

Our opinion

No expense was spared for the decoration and layout, carried out by a well-known interior designer. Everything has been perfectly installed and is in pristine condition. The furnishings were designed especially for the flat and could be included in the sale. The view of the Eiffel Tower and the Seine, flowing past the foot of the building, is one of eternal Paris that is in perpetual movement.
