Less than 200 km (125 miles) from Paris, on the outskirts of the Perch region and the French department of Sarthe, in the middle of wonderful bocage countryside.
In a hamlet composed of a church around which are built three houses and a town hall, 5 km (3.2 miles) from a small town with all shops and amenities.

Originally a 16th century manor house, the building became a presbytery when it was redesigned in the 18th century.

As rural heritage enthusiasts, its current owners recently restored it whilst preserving its authenticity: square terracotta tiled floors, 16th and 18th century stone fireplaces, original beams, several period doors and a wonderful oak, right-hand turn stairway with a baluster handrail.

Our opinion
The ease of access to Paris and the proximity of fashionable “spots” such as La Perrière, Bellême and Mortagne-au-Perche will satisfy those wanting to escape for a weekend.
A building that seduces not only because of its authenticity but also because of its priest’s garden and peaceful surroundings.
Currently ideal for a couple without children due to its lack of bedrooms, it could nevertheless become a family home after some simple attic conversion works.
