Our opinion
This house is already famous as novelist Claude-Tillier introduced it into his 1843 novel entitled “Mon oncle Benjamin” (My uncle Benjamin) which was adapted for the cinema in 1969 by Édouard-Molinaro. “A Romanesque house”, summarised the writer who had no idea that the residence would later belong to Jules-Jaluzot, a self-made man and politician renowned for having created “Printemps”, the large department store in Paris in 1865.
The man would no doubt have appreciated finding his home in such a good state of repair and so comfortable fitted out. This large, luxurious home can be lived in straightaway and has enough room for a big family to move in even if it means converting the annex buildings should the main building not suffice.
This delightful residence with all modern-day home comforts will meet all types of challenges and could even be used for accommodating tourists in a region with a wealth of varied resources.
