Description

The property is situated in the heart of a large town. It comprises a main building built in the 18th century on older foundations.
On the village side, the facade features wide, evenly distributed openings with small-paned windows. The dwelling is topped by a Mansard roof with wrought stone dormer windows.
The property is accessed via an impressive porch way or via the L-shaped service quarters, flanking the west of the main building.
Approx. 5,700 m² (1.4 acres) of parklands are planted with trees of over one hundred years old, accessed via driveways and featuring an ornamental pool, a fountain and a former tea shop. Its terrace faces due south.
The dwelling stands over cellars, has a ground and first floor, all topped with attic space awaiting conversion. It currently spans approx. 430 m² (4,628 sq ft) of living space.
The ground floor is given over to reception rooms: entrance hall, vestibule, large lounge, small lounge, dining room and kitchen. Said rooms are pleasantly interconnected via double doors and French doors. 18th century decorative features include marble fireplaces, herringbone and randomly matched parquet flooring, frescoes, doors, wainscoting and original locks. Certain features such as plaster stucco decorations and cornices as well as wrought cast iron radiators date from the 19th century. The impressive high ceilings bestow enormous nobility on the premises.
The first floor is devoted to bedrooms. Parquet flooring, alcoves, wall cupboards, cornices and marble fireplaces. Two bedrooms date from before the 18th century redesigning of the building.
The second floor has sloping ceilings and comprises two former staff bedrooms and attic space awaiting conversion.
The service quarters close the property on the west side: 18th century cowsheds with outstanding, pink marble feeding troughs, barn, hay barn, stable and garage for horse-drawn carriages. Former tea shop in the parklands.
Cellars under the dwelling including one which is vaulted.
