A plain region, beside old rural villages, between fields of cereal and market gardening crops, economic activities and logistics functions for infrastructures in the north-east region of Paris, the “Pays de France”.Nevertheless, many interesting buildings from different eras as well as picturesque villages are dotted around the “Plaine de France”, the first royal estate.
A little way out of town, just a few minutes from Roissy-CDG, near to the N104 and the A1. Between Chantilly and Paris, both are less than half an hour away.

Description
Once a farm, most probably dating from the end of the 19th century, with parklands and an orchard enclosed by high, solid brick walls.
Heavy, cast iron gates open into a first, partly paved courtyard, the centre of which features two trees with twisted trunks, separated by a large, circular flower bed.
To the right, the main, light-coloured house, an impressive, large luxurious, 20th century home, stands facing several adjoining, lower buildings of a similar style, which make up the outbuildings. Caretaker’s cottage, garages, workshop and other storage areas.
To the left, set back out of the way at the bottom of the parklands, the former red-coloured farm, a long original building that incorporated a living area and a barn as well as other smaller units used for farming purposes.The architecture of this property has been inspired by that of other regions of France, such as from the east and the south-west.
Worthy of note is the very special appearance of the rendering that shows raised traces of mortar beaten with fern leaves.
Another unusual feature is a wooden door covered in portholes, the upper semicircular part of which is topped with a small, mysterious, bas-relief character.
Vast parklands spanning more than 3 ha (7.4 acres) and planted with tall trees extend on both sides. They comprise lawns, a vegetable garden, an orchard, including one section with espaliers, and another section of shady woods including a variety of species and some majestic trees.
A little further away, opposite, two astonishing constructions that look like small houses were most probably animal shelters, no doubt a former kennel.

Around the parklands, in the distance and for as far as the eye can see, a wide view over the surrounding countryside and its rural scenery.
Our opinion
An ideal, pleasant situation, near to Paris, in the countryside of the Ile de France region.
A large, old residence that has obviously been little restored over the years, but which nevertheless has a certain amount of comfort and authenticity.
All the buildings, including the outbuildings, have a potential that would lend itself to numerous conversion projects and a multitude of possibilities.
The large surface area of the parklands is yet another of its assets.
A large, well-positioned property set in the peace and quiet.
