In Auteuil, on the edge of Boulogne-Billancourt, in a sector given over to high-performance sports, where Hôtel-Molitor, a mythical place in the 1930’s with its two swimming pools, as well as the Parc-des-Princes and Jean-Bouin stadiums follow on one from the other with the tennis mecca of Roland-Garros just 200 m away.
The street, bearing the name of two aviators Nungesser and Coli, is a true architectural collection featuring the 1930’s Modern Movement. The tireless and brilliant theorist Le-Corbusier built one of the neighbouring houses, now listed as a French Historic Monument, where he lived until the end of his life.
This district, with a very good public transport system, has numerous local shops as well as state and private schools.

Description

This flat is in a superb dressed stone Art Deco style building, the communal sections of which are immaculately kept and watched over by a live-in caretaker. Access to the entrance hall is protected by numerical keypad and videophone security systems. A lift and a stairway provide access to the floors. The flat

This is the only flat on the sixth floor. The glossy dark red front door opens into a wide gallery, fitted with numerous cupboards as well as Comblanchien stone floor tiles from Burgundy. A large storeroom provides extensive storage space. The gallery continues into a double, east-facing reception room, with two balconies. This room is enhanced with a stone fireplace. Wide, double-glazed, pivoting windows, fitted with remote-controlled blinds, let in a maximum of light all day long and provide a totally unobstructed view stretching to the horizon. This flat overlooks Jean-Bouin stadium. Parquet flooring is to be found in the reception room and in the bedrooms. On the right-hand side of the entrance gallery is a guest toilet, followed by a corridor which provides access to the fully fitted kitchen, featuring white-leaded wood, granite and copper. It is extended and illuminated by a veranda. A back door opens on to a balcony corridor, leading to the service lift and back stairways. The master bedroom also has an unoverlooked balcony and its east-facing picture windows let in copious amounts of light whilst providing a clear view. The bed is mounted on a platform featuring, on either side, storage trapdoors with copper handles, like on a boat. The bathroom, with its wooden fixtures and fittings, also reflects a boat style, worthy of a luxury yacht. It is fitted with a spa and colour-therapy bath as well as a shower. The toilet is separate. A second bedroom and its toilet look out over the courtyard. All the windows have double glazing. This particularly bright flat is in pristine condition.

Our opinion

The undulating roof covering the terraces of Jean-Bouin stadium provides a foreground resembling the sea with a view that stretches to the horizon. Yet another asset is that residents can take coffee on a balcony of their choice as soon as the weather is clement. Lovers of wide open spaces will feel particularly at home here.
