This lively sector, abounding in shops, has long appealed to artists. Its village air in the heart of Paris, with its narrow, paved streets and very special atmosphere, exerts a very powerful attraction.
The area has a good public transport system with underground lines 2, 4 and 12 as well as numerous bus routes.


This eco-responsible, designer house stands in the peace and quiet of a no-through road in the Abbesses district. It spans a floor surface area of 145 m² and has 150 m² of south-facing building land.
An entrance hall on the ground floor, with storage cupboards, opens into a very bright, south-facing living room, under an atrium. A few steps go down to a dining area which faces an open-plan kitchen. A store-laundry room area adjoins the kitchen.
A room at the end, behind sliding picture windows, could be used as a television room and a guest bedroom.
A stairway goes up to the two upper floors of bedrooms from the living room.
The first floor comprises two bedrooms and a bathroom, with a shower, a bath and a toilet. On the second floor are two bedrooms and a shower room.
Facing the house, in the garden, a large covered area, with electricity and water laid on, could accommodate a summer kitchen or a games room or be used for any other purpose to suit the new owners’ wishes.

The house

This house reflects a resolutely modern style both inside and out. It was constructed in 2012. Extremely luminous and filled with sunlight, it is eco-responsible and has numerous storage areas.
Immediately to the left of the entrance hall, the living room is steeped in light through a large atrium. Spanning the entire 5 m high ceiling, it is self-cleaning and has four remote-controlled windows.
On the right of the entrance hall, a few steps bordered by storage cupboards lead to an eating area, able to take a large table and facing a fully-fitted, open-plan kitchen. These rooms precede a television room that could also be used as a spare bedroom.
A laundry room houses a double-flow Frisquet boiler and a toilet. The entire house has underfloor heating and polished concrete floors.
The stairway goes to a corridor which provides access to a child’s bedroom, the master bedroom, with a dressing room and to a shower room, with two wash-hand basins, a large shower and a toilet. This level could become one large suite. A walk-way runs from the stairway alongside a wall of vegetation, looking down on the lounge, to a second landing with a few steps leading to the second floor.
It comprises two children’s bedrooms and a bathroom with a toilet.

The garden
This 150 m² garden, composed of building land, is in need of attention.
A 50 m² covered area in the garden, facing the house, is but waiting for new owners to give free rein to their imaginations. Electricity and water are already laid on.

Our opinion

Fluidity takes pride of place in this contemporary house. That of light, notably flooding in through the large roof atrium. That of the layout of the interconnecting areas courtesy of the subtle use of different levels. And lastly, the fluidity of materials, with pure lines and polished concrete appearing to make the way of life of the family living here extremely airy. In the courtyard-garden, building land spanning the same surface area as the house, a covered area could provide ideas for future use. This property is in a very good state of repair and the district of Montmartre is well-known.
