The Anglo-Norman residence
This robust building, laid out over four levels, stands in a dominant position, facing the Seine. Its facades are composed of stone and flint lower sections, topped with imitation half-timbered walls. Its architecture, resembling that of Normandy seaside properties, could almost be considered surprising in this area. A roof on several levels, including “Jay tail” features, is covered with local tiles. Spanning a total surface area of approx. 180 m², the house includes a studio flat on the garden level and a second studio flat upstairs, together with two bedrooms.
One of its sides is extended by outbuildings, awaiting conversion.
The insulation of the residence was completely redone during recent rehabilitation works carried out in 2017.

The artist’s studio

This is a small brick construction.
Intended for two cars, the garage is preceded by a small carpark able to take two other cars. It can be reached from the road without causing any nuisance to the residence and its surroundings.
This building is set between the pleasant Giverny Gardens and the waves of the Channel, like an outpost on the Normandy beaches. Its Anglo-Norman style could almost be considered out of place if it were not for the fact that seabirds come inland as far as these premises. The luxurious bearing of the residence reinforces the impression of its proximity to the sea, this channel between England and the continent. Although ambiguous, this property is nevertheless irresistibly appealing. The layout of the residence also appears to be part of the British way of life where privacy is the order of the day. The various sections are, however, connected to one another in a simple manner, making the house very easy to move around.
