The advantages of this district need no longer be proven. The maze of small paved streets, food shops, restaurants, theatres, concert halls, cabarets and cinemas, without forgetting the café terraces open all year round make Montmartre an extraordinary place to live in Paris. A village right in the heart of the capital. Set amongst gardens and secret cul-de-sacs, just a few metres from the flat where in 1953 Boris Vian settled with his partner Ursula Kubler and where they entertained their friends Max Ernst, Miles Davis, Prévert, Queneau and Ionesco.
The underground lines 2, 12 and 13 make it easy to go anywhere in Paris.
The flat, like a house on 2 levels
Located at the end of a cul-de-sac, a few metres from Rue Lepic, the entrance to the residence is protected by a digicode then an interphone. Access to the flat is either via a lift or a staircase.
A reinforced door opens on to a large room with two double French windows that reflect the incoming light from the terrace that can be accessed here. Built-in book shelves cover a whole wall facing the sitting room area. Next, a dining room and separated by a large work surface an equipped kitchen with an induction hob and extractor hood, dish washer, wine cellar, fridge, freezer and in-built storage space.
Along the side of the kitchen, there is a cupboard and a wardrobe. A lift with automatic door leads up to the floor above.
On the second floor, the lift door opens on to a landing. To the left, there is an office area; opposite, a shower room and a separate toilet. To the right, two sunlit bedrooms look out onto the terrace.
The windows and doors are all double-glazed. The hot water and heating are provided by a communal heating system for the building.
A parking space in the basement of the same building will make life much easier in a district where it is quite difficult to park.
The terrace, a natural extension of the sitting room area and kitchen is blessed with a peaceful and quiet atmosphere: no car noise or any other kind of nuisance, right in the heart of a very lively district. Nearby, there are other gardens and little well-hidden cul-de-sacs that only Montmartre knows. It is sunny (south-west facing) and is square. The floor is wood decked. Two sides of the terrace are lined with flower pots containing plants that bring precious greenery to a place where it has become very rare.
A door that locks gives access to the communal parts of the building without having to go through the flat.
In the heart of a lively neighbourhood and shopping district, the flat is a haven of peace that nothing can disturb. It would be ideal for one person, a couple or a small family. As a main residence or ideal pied-à-terre. In perfect condition, just like new, no works need to be scheduled.
The luxury perfectly secure apartment building is also in perfect condition. The beautiful terrace extends the reception area and is an undeniable asset, a true luxury right in the middle of Paris.
