This flat is on Boulevard-Maurice-Barrès, one of the most prestigious addresses in Neuilly-sur-Seine. Unusually, it looks directly out over Boulogne Wood. It was there, in October 1860, after two years of works, that Napoleon III and Empress Eugénie inaugurated Acclimatation Gardens, giving Paris and Neuilly, which adjoins the Wood, a landscaped park designed along the same lines as the English gardens they liked so much. This sought-after setting has, since 2014, experienced a major cultural development with the construction of the Louis-Vuitton-Foundation building. A prestigious location, therefore, on one of the city’s most illustrious roads. This property is within an 8-minute walk from Les-Sablons underground station, elegant boutiques and La-Folie-Saint-James Park.


The luxurious, dressed stone, 6-storey building was constructed in the second half of the 20th century. It is guarded and immaculately kept. Once through the wrought iron gates that open on to the street, a paved alleyway leading to the building entrance is covered with a protective canvas awning just like large buildings in New York. Wide, glazed doors open into a bright hall, its white marble floor adorned with geometric motifs. A second set of double doors directs visitors towards the building’s garden areas. A main lift and a service lift provide access to the floors.
This flat, on the fourth floor, has a back door. The front door opens into an entrance hall with a white marble floor. An elegantly proportioned, south-facing lounge, on the right-hand side, features parquet flooring and several low storage areas along one of the walls. It is extended by a wide balcony, out of sight of neighbours, where it is possible to install a table and several chairs. The view from the fourth floor looks down on the tops of the tall trees in Boulogne Wood. The Louis-Vuitton Foundation building, designed by Frank-Gehry, emerges from the canopy like a contemporary sculpture. A small corridor on the left-hand side of the entrance hall leads to the back door, a toilet and a few storage areas. It also goes to an L-shaped kitchen, made very bright by its wide windows. Next to it and facing in the same direction, overlooking the building’s totally quiet, verdant garden, is a bedroom, generously extended by a well-designed dressing room, with its numerous cupboards, and a shower room, fitted with a large, walk-in shower and a toilet. The bedroom floor is laid with parquet flooring, whilst the other rooms are tiled.
This flat has always been well looked after and is in an excellent state of repair. New owners might, at one point, wish to modernise the decoration. A cellar and an underground car parking space complete this property.

Our opinion

This flat, with a verdant ocean as its horizon, plunges its residents into their natural surroundings, the colours of which change in accordance with the seasons. Sailing nearby, the amazing ship designed by Frank-Gehry, already deemed a work marking 21st century architecture, unfurls its spectacular glass sails. Ideally located in the elegant town of Neuilly, very near to Paris, this comfortable, luminous and secured property would be perfect as a main residence for a single person or a couple, but it could also become a peaceful pied-à-terre for a modern-day nomad.
