Nearby, the Leclerc swimming pool, listed as a French Historic Monument, is like a somewhat smaller version of the famous Molitor swimming pool. The Ciné-104 art cinema and the National Dance Centre, with its astonishing cubic building, are just a few examples of the rich local cultural life. Église-de-Pantin (line 5) underground station provides 15-minute links to République and 20-minute links to Bastille. The co-owned property
This house is part of a co-owned, horizontal building divided into two sections: on the road side, a building, and behind, a row of houses reached via paved alleyways, bordered by gardens. These buildings were originally used to house employees working in a factory which, no longer in existence, was on the other side of the road. The lowly workers lived in flats whilst the foremen had the privilege of living in houses. Nowadays, these perfectly preserved premises form a verdant, isolated haven away from all nuisances.
This house can be accessed via its private garden, spanning approx. 30 m². Generously planted with trees and flowers, it contributes to the lack of nuisances. The overall architecture is classically that of workmen’s cottages dating from the 1930’s, with its coloured, rendered facade featuring wide openings, its front door topped with a canopy and its discreetly decorated jambs and lintels. It spans approx. 70 m² of living space, spread out over four levels: a ground and a first floor as well as attic space and a lower level, both converted.
The ground floor, with parquet flooring throughout, comprises a living room, with a fireplace, and an open-plan, fitted kitchen, where a high table is ideal for taking meals. A stairway leads, on one side, to the first floor and, on the other, to the lower level.
The stairs go up to a central hall area, providing access to all the rooms on this level: two bedrooms on the garden side, one of which has a fireplace, overlooking the verdant setting; a shower room, fitted with a wash-hand basin and a shower, and a separate toilet. This level has parquet flooring throughout.
A contemporary style, metal, open stairway goes up to this top floor, laid out as a single room under the ridge. Illuminated via three large skylights, it is currently in use as a study and a bedroom. The area could be divided into several additional bedrooms.
Lower Level 1
This lower level comprises a main, tiled room that could be transformed into a games room or a study. Further on are a laundry room and several storage areas.
