The Avenidas-Novas district is a short distance from the river Tagus, above the Baixa district and old Lisbon. It is a modern district where street names were inspired by the liberal revolution of 1820. The beautiful residential buildings along its wide boulevards are particularly sought-after by Lisbon’s citizens because of their central location, near to shops and schools. This flat, on the top floor of a 1930’s building (with a lift), has been beautifully renovated. Elegant, spacious and fitted with all modern-day home comforts, it still has some of its original features, including solid wood parquet flooring and ceiling mouldings. It is especially luminous throughout courtesy of its many windows and its wonderful aspect. The location is ideal, near to Saldanha underground station as well as to Gulbenkian Gardens which house one of the biggest museums in Portugal.
