The building stands like a tower in its surrounding environment. The entrance is reached after a few steps and by means of an Art-Deco door and facade. The communal areas are of a sober design, the charm of the original lift and its swing doors taking one back in time.

The flat

It spans the last two floors of the building (6th and 7th floors), for a surface area of 100 m2 under the French Carrez law (109.55 m2 floor space), over 32.85 m2 of terrace making a total surface area of 142.40 m2. Its layout is ideal: one north-east facing side, the other south-east. The entrance is via the 6th floor landing accessed only by the owners. In the flat, there is an entrance hall with cloakroom and a toilet. A vast through living room with high ceilings and a mezzanine overlooking it. In the middle, a skylight helps provide perfect lighting. The podium dining area with cupboards is surrounded by a wall covered in mirrors. It is bordered by a trellis made by a master metal smith, teak wood decking, landscaped and with automatic watering system. Electric blinds. A light weight staircase, blending in with a built-in bookcase leads to the upper mezzanine floor that overhangs part of the lounge and the skylight. This floor is divided in to three parts and is occupied by the owners: A bedroom opening out on to a solarium, a built-in wardrobe in the mezzanine area, and large bathroom with a bath, Italian style shower, twin sinks, separate toilet and laundry room. The bathroom opens on to a terrace and herb garden. The entire flat was renovated four years ago, in a sober design and using choice materials. There is parquet flooring throughout, the walls are painted white, the doors are solid wood, numerous cleverly built-in cupboards. The bathroom is entirely decorated with stone tiles. Built-in gas heating with air-conditioning. Two cellars and possibility of parking space.

Our opinion

The buildings outdo one another with refinement, each one is characterised by a detail that makes the difference, whether post-Hausmann, Art-Nouveau or Art-Deco in style and located in a very pleasant neighbourhood. The flat is perched like an eagle’s nest which gives the impression of great freedom right in the middle of the city. The artist-studio style has been completely mastered here. In great comfort, where light streams in from all over and where the much sought after requirements for the ideal flat are met: spacious rooms, top floor, light, quiet and outdoor space.
