appartments for sale rue-du-cherche-midi - 6th arrondissement

A through flat with a terrace
on Rue-du-Cherche-Midi in Paris’ 6th arrondissement
Paris, PARIS paris 75006 FR

The street was called Rue-de-la-Vieille-Tuilerie up until 1595. The “Hôtel de Chambon” mansion house is on the same side of the street. Today, the proximity of food shops and restaurants is appreciable as is that of luxury boutiques and Le-Bon-Marché department store with its “Grande Epicerie” delicatessen. The street even has its own museum, dedicated to 19th century painter, Ernest-Hébert, winner of the “Prix de Rome” in 1839, who lived there.
The recent building stands between Duroc and Vaneau underground stations. Gare-Montparnasse train station, with rail links to the entire west of France, is nearby. The district is much sought-after by artists, intellectuals and politicians. Luxembourg Gardens are within easy walking distance.

The sixth floor, reached via a lift, is also taken up by another three flats. This flat has a through layout, spanning 118.5 m², including a 17 m² terrace on the road side, reached via the living room and the kitchen. Two bedrooms look out on the other side over the inner wooded courtyard from a 3.5 m² balcony.
These premises are extremely bright as the bedrooms receive the morning sun and sunsets can be admired from the living room or during dinner on the terrace. There are clear views over the Parisian rooftops and the terrace is not directly overlooked.
The two bedrooms, with their balcony running alongside, are quiet. A bathroom, with a bath, a shower and a toilet, a shower room, with a shower and a toilet, as well as a guest toilet are set out along a corridor, lined with built-in cupboards. The L-shaped living room, which opens on to the terrace, communicates with the kitchen. A car parking space on the first level of the basement and a cellar complete this property.

Our opinion

A verdant haven on Rue-du-Cherche-Midi: something that the recently constructed building can be proud of and that the two bedrooms dominate from their balcony. On the other side, sunsets in the skies above the Ile-de-France region and the rooftops of Paris, can be watched every day of the year from the vast living room, when the weather is cold, or from the large terrace on summer evenings. The district, like Paris’ 6th arrondissement, still attracts intellectuals without excluding the shops where life’s little pleasures are to be found. The basement car parking space is yet another asset.
