in a verdant setting in Versailles’ Clagny-Glatigny district
Set to the east of the Palace of Versailles, the district of Clagny-Glatigny grew up as of 1836, with the arrival of the railroad. Airy and including numerous green open spaces and public gardens, it is highly sought-after not only because of its proximity to many state and private schools but also because of its easy access via the three Versailles train stations and certain main roads.
Shops are nearby. Infant (La Farandole) and primary (Pershing) schools as well as the private “Les Châtaigniers” are a 10-minute walk away. The “Groupe scolaire Saint Jean Hulst”, “Blanche de Castille” and “Lycée Hoche” schools are but five minutes away by car. Versailles-Montreuil train station, with links to La-Défense and Paris-Saint-Lazare, is less than a 15-minute walk away. Bus stops on routes F and G going to the centre of Versailles and the three Versailles train stations are just a few minutes away on foot. The golf and tennis clubs as well as the “Haras de Jardy” riding school are less than a 15-minute walk away.
The flats, constructed in 1972, are housed in architecturally harmonious, 3-storey buildings. These stand in the midst of parklands, spanning more than two hectares, comprising a vast wooded lawn, a fenced-in playground as well as a wooded section, dominating the district. A cedar tree, planted by Marie-Antoinette greets visitors.
A lift, as well as a stairway, provides access to this flat, laid out on the first floor. The entrance hall, which has several cupboards, opens into a living room, spanning almost 48 m², comprising an open-plan kitchen as well as dining room and lounge areas. This room, almost entirely glazed, is extended by an 11.4 m² balcony running alongside and looking out over the wooded section of the grounds.
A corridor leads to the night-time area, comprising a toilet and a bathroom, on one side, and a room laid out as a dressing room with built-in cupboards, on the other. This corridor, housing numerous cupboards, continues to three bedrooms which also have a balcony overlooking the parklands running alongside, as well as a to shower room.
This flat, set in a wonderful location as if in beautiful private parklands in Versailles, is both functional and elegant. With the two balconies, new owners will be able to enjoy a quiet drink on the forest side or to peacefully watch over the children playing in the garden.
