In Pont-Scorff, a town in the French department of Morbihan with less than 3,700 inhabitants, steeped in the tranquillity of the local countryside whose temperate climate means mild average temperatures all year round. The nearest shops and amenities are but a few minutes away. It is 20 minutes from Lorient train station and just 10 minutes from the main road.


This property, on the edge of a forest on the east side and surrounded by farmland, comes into view along a little road, used solely by local residents. A lane leads to the traditional, long farmhouse, to a bread oven and to vestiges of an outbuilding.

This level, reached via two stairways, is laid out in the attic space. Spanning approx. 85 m², it comprises four bedrooms, a corridor, a bathroom and a toilet on one side. The other side has two bedrooms, a storage room that could be converted as well as an area above the workshop.

Our opinion

This is a genuine traditional, long farmhouse with all the character of this type of construction: fifty metres of stone topped with a slate roof featuring four gables. Upstairs, it is possible to see the superb, exposed roofing framework. Giving free rein to new owners to create private areas for family or friends, this house could easily be divided into two. It is also in need of a little attention.
