The house

A wide driveway, reached via remote-controlled gates, leads to the house. On the left-hand side, a double garage is great not only for parking cars but also for concealing the house from the street. This sober, elegant residence features an original touch with its blue shutters. It stands in the midst of its plot. A canopy running the length of the house is perfect for sheltering a car. There is also a closed storage area.

Ground floor
This floor, completely on a level with the garden, has numerous openings on to the outside. The entrance hall provides access to various areas. On the left-hand side, a double, through living room, with its fireplace and its wide windows, constitutes a particularly pleasant living area. It adjoins a predominantly glazed dining room, open on to the lounge, the kitchen and a garden terrace. The latter has a protruding, fully glazed eating area, which gives an impression of being in the midst of the countryside. On the right-hand side of the entrance hall is a guest toilet as well as a corridor, with a cloakroom, that leads directly to the kitchen.
Also on the right-hand side is a flat, with a separate external entrance. It comprises a living room, with a kitchen area, looking out over the swimming pool, a toilet, a shower room and a bedroom looking out over the garden.

First floor
The landing, providing access to the rooms, is of a size to be a room in itself. Superbly illuminated by a large window looking down on to the garden, it is currently used as a billiards’ room. On the right-hand side of the stairway, a master suite opens with a cloakroom and, on the right, a bathroom, with a bath, a shower and a toilet; straight on, a through bedroom opens on to a terrace. On the left-hand side of the stairway are two bedrooms, each with a shower room, as well as a laundry room, a separate toilet and two other bedrooms, currently in use as a study and an artist’s studio.
This level is reached from the residence’s entrance hall via a wide stairway. It comprises four large rooms, a wine cellar and a boiler room, housing a geothermal boiler and two 300 litre domestic hot water heaters.
This outbuilding has architecture matching that of the main residence. It constitutes a double garage with remote-controlled doors, a glazed exercise room, facing the swimming pool, and a shower room, with a toilet.
The garden
Yellow poplar, cedar, birch, palm, maple, bamboo, Japanese flowering cherry and various species of pine trees as well as copses of shrubs and wide lawns make this garden a haven of peace. Laid out on either side of the house, surrounding the 8x4 m heated swimming pool and extending the interior, it harbours several different atmospheres. It is fitted with an automatic watering system as well as integrated lighting.

Our opinion

Everything here has been designed to facilitate entertaining, guest mobility and the conviviality of the living room by taking full advantage of the garden, on all a level with the ground floor. Set back in the peace and quiet, protected by verdant surroundings in keeping with those of the town, this house is ideal for a very large family, with enough space for all its members to have their own private area. The large interior rooms are particularly well-suited to a growing family. Its exceptional energy efficiency meets current concerns. Just 20 minutes from the French capital, this property harmonises every moment of daily life, work and leisure.
