This old factory, in Courbevoie on the outskirts of Paris, dominates the river Seine and the Ile-de-la-Jatte, renowned for its open-air cafés with dance floors, favoured decor of the impressionist painters, and currently a chic, luxurious residential district. Its location is very near to Neuilly-sur-Seine and the business district of La-Défense.
The large, open-plan flat
A few steps lead up to the open-plan flat’s spacious entrance hall which resembles the bridge of a ship with its steel balustrade, over the top of which it is possible to glimpse the exercise room below. A discreet door leads to a boiler room and a laundry room.
A few more steps provide access to the first section of the flat. Everything is laid out around a 70 m² patio: a lounge with its fully fitted open-plan kitchen and three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and storage areas.
The second section at the top of the stairway is even more spectacular: the high ceiling and the exposed roofing framework make the large lounge, spanning almost 80 m², spacious and airy. The numerous openings, some of which dominate the Seine and the Ile-de-la-Jatte, let in copious amounts of light. A hall area, on one side, leads to two more bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The layout would make it easy to divide these two sections and constitute two separate open-plan flats.
The studio flat
The 45 m² studio flat is at the entrance to the property. Its large floor surface area makes it possible to accommodate a night-time area, a lounge area and a fully fitted kitchen. A modern shower room is laid out at a discreet distance.
The exposed beams and the numerous windows provide elegance and light throughout the studio flat.
The transformation and conversion of this old factory were carried out in keeping with the original idea of creating open-plan flats with spacious areas and rooms. Living in all of the premises, a total floor surface area of almost 600 m², would be a guarantee of unequalled comfort on the outskirts of Paris. Another choice would be to divide the property into three separate sections: the studio flat, an open-plan flat with a patio and an “Eiffel” open-plan flat. Their aesthetic quality would be unanimously appreciated by all of the new residents.
