A quiet fishing village at the beginning of the 20th century, but still remarkably well preserved, Saint-Tropez has grown more and more famous as an internationally renowned seaside resort on the French Riviera, visited by artists of all kinds, the jet set and tourists, drawn by the beauty of the area and the exciting events that are held throughout the year. It can be reached via train (Les-Arcs-Draguignan TGV train station, then bus), via airplane (20 minutes from Saint-Tropez airport, an hour from Hyères-Toulon airport) or by road (45 minutes from the A8 motorway).

Description

This house is part of a residential estate, dating from the 1960’s. The beach is just 300 m from the entrance to this estate, closed by gates, protected by a numerical keypad security system. Behind the gates, a wide, tree-lined drive leads to the entrance gates to this property, where two cars can easily park. The garden, shaded by tall trees as well as pine trees, is laid out around the north-south-facing house. The south facade looks out over a swimming pool, out of sight of onlookers.

The house

This house spans a floor surface area of approx. 142 m² (measured in accordance with the French Carrez law). Its plain architecture includes a multiple-sloped roof topping two floors, the upper one of which can be reached via an outside stairway, with a completely unobstructed view. A lounge, with a monumental fireplace, communicates with an open-plan kitchen. The floor is covered with terracotta tiles. A bedroom, with a toilet, a dressing room and a bathroom, opens on the south side on to a terrace, surrounding the swimming pool. Another two bedrooms: one opening on the south side on to the terrace and the other facing west. A bathroom, lined with tiles from Salernes, and a toilet.
First floor
Reached from the outside, this level can be made independent. Two west-facing bedrooms with skylights, one bathroom and a toilet, a hall area as well as two attics used for storage purposes.

Our opinion

This property stands out because of its exceptional location, near to one of Saint-Tropez’s most beautiful beaches and part of a renowned, gated residential estate. It is true that this house is in need of some modernisation works, but once renovated it will require very little upkeep, thus enabling its residents to take full advantage of the verdant surroundings and the sea in a particularly sought-after setting.
