Our opinion

With its silhouette that has made the Apulia region famous the world over, the “trullo” is a small dwelling that reached the height of its popularity in the 19th century. Particularly fashionable in the Itria Valley, this original construction, made entirely of dry stone, appeals nowadays because of its authentic character and its environmental qualities. In the area around Ostuni, the “white town” on the Adriatic coast, this renovated tourist estate is extremely attractive. The house is topped with the iconic cupolas and their sculpted pinnacles. The inside, cool and comfortable, is converted in keeping with its original materials, under white vaults, reflecting the shape of the roof. Outside, a few pergolas shaded by Virginia creeper lead to a swimming pool and its unobstructed view over the golden-brown countryside of the Salento peninsula.
