Paris is 45 km away via a motorway slip road (Saint-Germain-Laxis) just 6 km away. Verneuil-l'Etang train station with 30-minute links to Paris-Est is 10 km away. Melun RER train station is 10 km away, Gare-de-Chessy TGV train station is 35 km.
Near to Blandy-les-Tours, Vaux-le-Vicomte and Fontainebleau chateaux as well as Provins, a medieval town classified as a World Heritage site by Unesco. Carré Sénart shopping centre is 13 km away whilst the “Val d'Europe” and Vallée-village shopping centres are 30 km away.
This house stands on the edge of a hamlet, in the middle of the countryside, far from any nuisances. The nearest building is a farm, set on the other side of the road. Green belt fields extend all around the property.


This old hunting lodge stands in tastefully kept parklands, spanning almost 3,000 m², that are fully enclosed by walls, fencing and hedges. This property includes an annex building that houses a boiler room and a cellar as well as an L-shaped farmhouse set at the end of the garden around a swimming pool.

The house

This rendered, stone house is typical of the Brie area. It is topped with a flat tile roof, redone barely 20 years ago, featuring pediment hanging roof dormers. Its numerous openings make it extremely bright inside.
This residence spans two levels, excluding the attic floor.

Ground floor
The ground floor is accessed via an entrance hall with terracotta floor tiles. A few steps lead down to a study, an old bedroom laid out all on a level with the garden, reached via a French window. This through room is very sunny. It adjoins a marble shower room with a toilet. On the other side of the entrance hall is a large living room with terracotta floor tiles and a fireplace, in good working order. The bright kitchen is also a through room with terracotta floor tiles; the back kitchen is used as a laundry room.
First floor
A landing and a corridor provide access to the bedrooms with their sloping ceilings. The first is above the study, with which it communicates via a second stairway. This through room, with its strip pattern parquet flooring, includes a toilet with a cupboard. The second bedroom has cupboards and a toilet just like the third bedroom, with its oak wood parquet flooring. The last bedroom is a through, extremely luminous suite with oak wood parquet flooring. It comprises a toilet and a bathroom.

The annex building

This annex building stands at the other end of the entrance courtyard, facing the residence. It comprises a wine cellar and a machine room with an oil-fired boiler, domestic hot water tanks, a propane gas tank for the outbuilding and a wood shed.

The outbuilding and the swimming pool

This L-shaped farmhouse is set out around a 5x10 m, outside swimming pool, bordered with travertine stone terraces. The pool machine room, with its own gas-fired boiler, is laid out at the end of the building. A large, covered courtyard is set out as a kitchen comprising a fireplace, a barbecue, a refrigerator and a gas cooker. It is extended by a very convivial area, protected from inclement weather, making it possible to take lunch outside facing the swimming pool. Further away is a multi-purpose room that precedes a tiled garage-workshop, set at right angles.

Our opinion

This authentic family home with a garden and a swimming pool reflects an original character. It still has all of its authenticity without having sacrificed comfort. A haven of peace providing a breath of fresh air on the outskirts of the French capital, this residence provides stressed Parisians with an alternative solution for recharging their batteries. A perfect summary of this ideal compromise, the bedroom with its shower room, laid out all on a level with the garden, is particularly attractive.
