Description
The traditional Bastide house
This Bastide comprises a large, open-plan, rectangular living room with a fireplace as well as an 18 m² kitchen, typical of the Provencal region. It is extended by a 6.5 m² back kitchen. The ground floor also includes a bedroom and a shower room with a separate toilet. Two independent bedrooms, upstairs, each have their own bathroom.
The second house
Below the traditional Bastide house and its swimming pool is another smaller house used as a caretaker’s cottage. Simply constructed, it comprises a kitchen opening into a living room with a wood-burning stove, three bedrooms and a bathroom. The house is all on one level.
The tower
This small house has ochre-coloured rendering. The inside includes a small kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom. It has a view of the village in the distance.
The leisure facilities
Near to the large swimming pool is a 32 m² pool-house which provides additional accommodation with a bedroom and a shower room.
The sheltered, open-air Jacuzzi is in the garden.
At a distance, a tennis court completes the leisure facilities in verdant, peaceful and remote surroundings.
Our opinion
This traditional, dry stone Bastide house in its verdant setting has enormous charm and a superb view. Exuding tranquillity, it is near to an authentic village, renowned for its cultural and artistic events held all through the year.
New owners could envisage interior works in order to add their own personal touches and to modernise the dwelling.
