The small chateau or large, luxurious home

Although its architecture is that of a large, luxurious home, this residence is known locally as “the chateau”.

A small lean-to adjoins the house.

Ground floor
With 3.2 m high ceilings, this floor comprises a tiled vestibule that extends into a veranda. It provides access to a lounge with old terracotta floor tiles, walls adorned with panelling and an Italian monumental fireplace dating from the Napoleon III era. A study with strip pattern parquet flooring is heated by an Empire-style fireplace.
The kitchen features a marble floor and a fireplace.
The dining room has herringbone pattern parquet flooring, walls adorned with floor-to-ceiling panelling and a superb Hungarian fireplace.

First floor
This floor has strip pattern parquet flooring throughout.
A landing provides access to 4 bedrooms:
- Bedroom no. 1 with a toilet, a dressing room and a fireplace.
- Bedroom no. 2 without a fireplace.
- A dressing room between bedroom nos. 2 and 3.
- Bedroom no. 3 with a fireplace.
- Bedroom no. 4 with a dressing room and a bathroom.

Second floor
This floor has parquet flooring throughout.
The landing provides access to 4 rooms:
- Bedroom no. 5 has old terracotta floor tiles.
- A study.

Our opinion

Not far from the “Champagne Route”, this residence is, above all, characterised by its spectacular panoramic view, stretching out below its windows and featuring hillsides illuminated by a light that changes from dawn to dusk. As a result, the property appears to be in the middle of nowhere, despite being near to the French capital.
This estate is particularly well-suited to activities involving horse-riders and hikers courtesy of its superb surroundings.
The bridle paths, small wooded valleys and river ford will appeal to the first, whilst the latter will be drawn by the fact that the popular GR14 hiking trail can be reached on foot in just 10 minutes.
