45 km from Avignon (TGV train station with 2¾ hour links to Paris), 39 km from the A7 motorway, between Provence, the Cévennes mountains, the French department of Ardèche and the Mediterranean sea.


Surrounded on three sides by two hectares of immaculately kept, landscaped parklands. A lane separates it from a further two hectares. The fourth side faces the church bell-tower on the other side of the village square.
Four buildings, constructed during the Middle-Ages against a primitive keep, surround an inner courtyard, reached via a passageway under a well-defended porch way.
More than 1,000 m² are spread out over two main levels and part of a third including a large reception floor surface area with a series of high-vaulted rooms overlooking the parklands. There are numerous lounges on the ground floor and upstairs are nine bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. An immense artist’s studio adjoins the castle and 400 m² of outbuildings could still be converted. Many defensive features dating from feudal times are still present: an old keep, towers and turrets, loop-holes, battlements, brattices, a partially accessible wall-walk and stairways in each building,
The centuries that followed saw the number of openings increase, letting copious amounts of light into the vaulted rooms.
A tennis court, a huge swimming pool with its pool-house as well as a superb outdoor lounge are amongst the facilities for physical relaxation and summer pleasure.

Our opinion

The quality and pristine condition of the building, the restoration works carried out over recent years, the modern day home comforts, the refined fixtures and fittings as well as the immaculately kept parklands make it difficult to equal this property which will appeal to the most demanding of would-be buyers.
