The setting is very peaceful.
Once a 17th century, Seigneurial farm set out around two square adjoining courtyards.
The property was later divided into two separate parts, side by side but with a tall brick wall between them.
On the left is the actual farm, with the farmhouse and the outbuildings forming a square around the courtyard.
On the right are the manor house and the barn set opposite one another at each end of the land and at right angles to the dividing wall.
On the outskirts of the village, set back on the left hand side of a narrow country lane running along the rear facade of the barn that is extended by a brick wall, featuring large wrought iron entrance gates, attached to two pillars. On the right is another semi-circular arched opening, featuring a small identical gate.
The entrance to the property opens into a large wooded, lawned garden.
The large barn is on the left.
Opposite, the long façade of the manor house can be seen through the leaves on the trees.
On the right, the grounds are bordered by a fence, separating them from the neighbouring pastures. There are woods in the distance.
At the end, between the dwelling and the fence, a wide passageway leads around the back of the property.
Having gone around the turret on the corner of the manor house, it is possible to see the second part of the grounds. On a slightly lower level than the dwelling, a vast terrace dominates the land.
On the side, the brick wall. Opposite, a few trees and bushes, irregular-shaped fields separated by hedges and ditches, streams and rural valleys, with the forest in the distance.
Surrounded by exceptional vegetation in a rare landscape where it is pleasant to live, a particularly delightful, countrified place exuding tranquillity.
In unspoilt, picturesque countryside, amongst valleys, woods and irregular-shaped fields separated by hedges and ditches, with some really seductive assets that include rural monuments, and quite simply, its authenticity.An ideal situation, both near to the sea and to several towns as well as being a reasonable distance from Paris.
The character and authenticity of this very old house, in a charming village, right in the middle of natural, unspoilt countryside, has been preserved by its current owner. An outbuilding has been superbly converted into a guest house.
A property that we took great pleasure in discovering.
