This property, 50 km from Paris via the N19 or via the A4 motorway and the Francilienne ring road, is in the midst of a large village, with all amenities. Verneuil-l'Etang train station, 3 km away, has 45-minute links to Paris-Gare-de-l'Est.


The farm is fortified around a rectangular courtyard and surrounded by gardens. The entrance, under a covered porch way with double doors, is in a quiet village square. On the right-hand side, a hexagonal tower (dovecote) is followed by a round tower, with covered machicolation, and features loopholes under a candlesnuffer roof. On the left-hand side, a 3-storey pavilion is followed by a round tower, also with a candlesnuffer roof.
The residence, set at right angles, is followed by three barns and, again at right angles, facing the entrance, a barn, a garage and, lastly, facing the residence, an immense barn.
The garden includes a swimming pool.

The residence and the pavilion

The residence comprises a rendered, 3-storey, millstone grit building, with a pavilion, spanning an extra level. The facades of the latter, also constructed from millstone grit, feature quoins and small-paned windows. The roofs are covered with local flat tiles; those of the residence have pediment roof dormers.

Ground floor
An entrance hall, with flagstones, provides access to a study on the left-hand side, a through lounge, with marble floor tiles, featuring inlaid decoration, a stone fireplace and a ceiling with exposed beams and joists, an old-fashioned, tiled kitchen, a dining room, with strip pattern, oak wood parquet flooring, two windows overlooking the parklands and the swimming pool, a small lounge and a shower room, with an Italian-style shower.
First floor
A solid, oak wood stairway in the house goes up to the first floor. A little landing is covered with old terracotta floor tiles. This level comprises three bedrooms, two dressing rooms, two shower rooms and a master suite (bedroom-lounge-bathroom) in the pavilion and the tower.
A maid’s bedroom, above the kitchen, has terracotta floor tiles.

Second floor
The main building comprises attics, with terracotta floor tiles. The pavilion features a bedroom, with exposed beams and joists.
This attic space is in the pavilion.

The outbuildings

The outbuildings, like the residence, await renovation works throughout and comprise large areas waiting to be put to good use in the barns.
Following on from the residence are two stables and the old cold room (58 m², 56 m² and 87 m²). Set at right angles and facing the porch way are the henhouse, the workshops and the barns (105 m², 42 m²). An immense barn (335 m²) stands facing the residence.
All the buildings span two levels, with attics awaiting renovation. A study adjoins the porch way.
A 9x4 m swimming pool has been installed in the meadow behind the house, where there is also a large farm shed.

Our opinion

Round towers, topped with candlesnuffer roofs, a tall residence and outbuildings, with their impressive roofing frameworks, running along the sides of the rectangular courtyard: this architectural capital is but waiting to yield fruit. Renovation works are obviously essential but what potential will follow! All these interesting buildings could house collections, artist’s studios or conference room, holiday accommodation rental unit and even bed & breakfast activities. And why not, so near to Paris, the headquarters of a company looking to enhance its image.
