Since 1924,
Three generations have succeeded one another since 1924 in the development of a national network specialised in the sale of character buildings. The Patrice Besse Group now comprises one hundred or so representatives from varied backgrounds: photographers, architects, former students at the School of the Louvre, art historians, former company executives, journalists, etc.
All are given in-house training pertaining to Culture and Commerce; the main two aspects of our business according to Patrice Besse.

Culture through the history and the architecture of the premises that we select from amongst chateaux, manor houses and large luxurious homes as well as rural heritage buildings, ruins, religious edifices and any vernacular construction, regardless of time or place.
Commerce because our mission is to understand, analyse and assess these premises such that they are passed on to their new owners under the best of conditions.

Throughout France
All our regional representatives are constantly selecting castles, historic dwellings, manors, priories, hunting grounds, forests, mills, fortified farms, stud farms, large luxurious homes, town houses, presbyteries, mansion houses, farms, chalets, vineyards and farming properties, together with character buildings in order to improve our offers. This network of representatives linked to our Parisian division ensures personalised management of sellers and purchasers.

In Paris
As a follow-up to our successful provincial “tour”, we have extended our main activity to include a Parisian division: flats, mansion houses, buildings, pied-à-terres, townhouses, open-plan and artist studio flats.
Both our agencies are situated in the heart of Paris’ 7th arrondissement; one is near to the “Bon Marché” department store at 7, rue Chomel, 75007 Paris and the other is on Ile Saint-Louis at 18, rue Budé, 75004 Paris.

Further afield
Architectural heritage knows no borders. Neither does our enthus. Italy to begin with, then Portugal and Belgium, these are our first trips abroad.

Our agency is the first in France to be internationally decorated for its work. The IIPP, International Institute for Promotion and Prestige, presented their “International Recognition for protecting Cultural and Architecture Heritage” award to the Patrice Besse Group at the UNESCO head office.
