Description

There are no visual or audible nuisances in these old outbuildings of a neighbouring property, restored by a painter.
This L-shaped residence has a woodshed and a small outbuilding at the back. It exudes a feeling of privacy.
The two sections of the garden, separated by a low wall and flint pillars, communicate with one another. Vegetation, with a southern air, is abundant as soon as spring has sprung.

The 18th century residence

This L-shaped construction spans two levels; both sections could rapidly communicate with one another.
The white Vernon stone facades of the main building feature many wooden-framed, double-glazed openings. The corner section awaits completion of its conversion works; its walls are covered with a beige-coloured cob. The entire building was insulated during restoration works.
Wrought iron railings decorate the windows on the second level. The ground floor openings are protected by wooden shutters with horizontal ties.
The gable roofs are covered with slate.

This residence comprises a large living room-kitchen. The lounge side is delimited by a step and adorned with a fireplace still in its original condition. Exposed beams decorate the ceilings.
Three bedrooms and a bathroom are to be found on the first floor which is reached via a concrete stairway.
The section awaiting completion of its restoration works comprises two rooms, still in their original condition, with French windows. The first floor also includes an old, fully insulated attic, lined with plaster board, which could house two additional bedrooms and a shower room.

Large floor tiles cover the ground floor comprising the main living room with an open-plan kitchen and a fireplace.
A toilet and a bathroom are at the back.

First floor
The floors are covered with oiled oak wood parquet flooring or sea-rush matting.
The superb beam system is exposed.

Cellar
A small old cellar.

The small outbuildings

A woodshed adjoins the residence.
A small outbuilding can be used for storing gardening equipment.

Our opinion

This little, recently renovated, character property can be lived in straightaway. The garden is an invitation for residents to laze around in the shade of the vegetation, the upkeep of which will remain a pleasure. Completion of the interior restoration works could result in a possible extension. This would be in accordance with requirements and planned projects. Living here is a pleasant experience and it would be possible to envisage working in Paris.
