La Demeure Historique
La Demeure Historique is an association founded in 1024 by Doctor Joachim Cavallo,designer of the Villandry Gardens in Loire Valley. The assoxiation is now representing more than 3000 castles, manors, abbeys, priories, "hotels particuliers" or family mansions, listed, registered or soon registred, all over France. More than one thousand among these are open to the public and welcome more than 8 millions visitors actively supporting its action by subscribing to a cultural passport called "La Clé des Châteaux", "La Clé des jardins" ( Keys to the Castles, Keys to the Garden grounds).
