These include corniches, pediments and balconies with wrought-iron balustrades. The entrance is fitted with a videophone, an intercom and an entry code system for security. The communal areas are well maintained. Every landing except the top one connects to a single apartment: there are only six properties in this commonhold. A lift takes you to each floor.
The apartment
The apartment, which offers a floor area of over 200m², lies on the edifice’s first floor. Its dual-aspect position bathes it in natural light. The place has kept its original decorative features. Our opinion
This remarkable apartment will delight any lover of heritage and history looking for a main home or a pied-à-terre in an outstanding backdrop. The property is ideally located in Lyon’s prestigious Bellecour district and it is close to cultural centres, shops, schools, amenities and public transport links. This seductive dwelling has kept its discreet nobility, in tune with the old area where it lies. Some renovation and decorative work is needed, but the layout does not need to be changed to bring back the place’s past splendour. Yet the option of fitting a second landing door opens up the possibility of a new layout. A delicate range of projects could therefore be considered for this calm haven, which dazzles with secret resplendence.
