Our opinion
The Casa dos Encarnados hosted meetings and concerts in the early 20th century. Artists performed there, and regulars returned. The ground floor retains its vaulted ceilings and original rectangular marble flooring. Later, a couple reopened the bar, recreating this atmosphere of music and friends. Today, the 766 m² property awaits its next life. The two upper floors have been restored: insulation, new door and window frames, double and triple glazing, and new installations. The duplex is being sold unfinished, allowing for personal choices of materials. The terrace on the first floor offers a view of the castle. A small adjoining house, with a separate entrance from a cypress-lined square, connects to the former bar and terrace. The property can remain as one unit or be divided: shop downstairs, duplex, detached house. Estremoz is renovating its centre, and the Rossio is a three-minute walk away. A place steeped in history, ready for a new chapter.
