Description
Facing south, the breeze-block, one-storey building is clad in light grey wood, while its roof is topped with slate and zinc. Illuminated by wide double-glazed, wood-framed doors and windows, its interior is extremely spacious and sunny with several contemporary recesses.
As for the property, it is hidden from view by an enclosed garden with lush vegetation, which creates a thick curtain protecting it from all noise and disturbances.
The House
The house's foyer provides access to a kitchen a lavatory as well as a wardrobe and opens onto an immense living room of approximately 70 m² with a tuffeau stone and painted wooden fireplace, wide-plank solid hardwood floors and a significant floor-to-ceiling height. Corbelled glass double, facing south, give on to a semi-circular patio with 180° views of the garden and swimming pool, while further back, a sunny kitchen with the same hardwood floor faces the living room thanks to a large atelier window.
As for the house's sleeping quarters, they include an initial study, followed by the main suite, which includes an immense bathroom and a bedroom with hardwood floors and glass double doors that open directly onto the patio and swimming pool. Continuing on from here are two more bedrooms, a bathroom, a wardrobe and a lavatory, all of which are incredibly sunny and enjoy views of the garden.
As for the attic level, it has recently been insulated and could easily be converted into two bedrooms and a bathroom.
The Outbuilding
Built in the same architectural style as the house with light-coloured wood siding, it extends over approximately 80 m² and is located at the end of the tarmacked drive. Used as a garage, storeroom and workshop, it has a convertible attic upstairs.
The Grounds
Entirely enclosed and landscaped, the grounds mainly face south, are completely sheltered from sight and provide views of the surrounding woods and countryside. Planted with a number of flowerbeds and shrubs, which are scattered throughout the immense lawn, the grounds are a paradise for gardeners and create a beautiful background for the immense swimming pool and its stone patio, one side of which is clad in wooden slats.
Our opinion
Nestled within the abundant vegetation of its pleasant garden, this single-storey, ideally located villa is only a stone’s throw away from the vast beaches of Dinard. With its modern design, the house makes the most of its immense inhabitable volumes, where the comfort of its contemporary interior spaces with clean lines and understated, sometimes classical, décor is combined with the elegance of only the best materials. Bathed in light by wide glass doors and windows, the bedrooms and living spaces look out onto patios bordered by thick vegetation, while the property, sheltered from view, but still easily accessible, would be the perfect place for a large family in search of space and serenity.
