Our opinion
Some properties lend themselves to definition. Others defy categorization. An estate in Scania belongs to the latter category: a family farm, a reception venue, a workshop—what it becomes depends on who settles there. The large pond forms its center. Surrounding it are landscaped gardens, a pavilion bathed in light all day long, a greenhouse that has become a living space, and a barn large enough for two hundred guests or for farm equipment. Thirty-three years of use have filled every nook and cranny: weddings on the slope leading down to the water, Saint John’s Day celebrations under the chestnut tree in the courtyard, crayfish caught right on the property. A country road leads there. The rest is left to the imagination.
