Our opinion

The Meuse Valley, a first-class waterway since the Middle-Ages, is still home to several gems awaiting renovation for old stone and history enthusiasts. This U-shaped farm building, dating from the 16th century, adjoins a castle in the area around Namur. Time appears to be standing still in the middle of the paved courtyard, giving visitors a vision of a thriving past. The impressive limestone block facades and the highly typical stepped gable walls bear witness to the skill of their master builders. Two houses, one of which was renovated in 2004, could be rehabilitated in a totally independent manner, in addition to the six cowsheds, topped with haylofts, promising great extension potential. The friendly entourage, comprising the sun, trees, flowers, birds and dreams, so dear to the most famous of Mosan writers, Jean-Tousseul, reigns in this peaceful haven.
