Our opinion

This traditional, authentic Portuguese farmhouse was renovated by a family around 10 years ago. It lies upon a hill with an unrivalled view of the countryside of the Alentejo region. You can see a chateau on the horizon. The single-storey white house is made up of several dwellings brought together. It is welcoming and has authentic charm. The blue edging on its white elevations is a traditional style of the local region. Inside, there are four bedrooms and two bathrooms, separated by warm, spacious reception rooms decorated tastefully. The estate is entirely enclosed. A stream runs through it. The undulating grounds cover five hectares. Olive trees, holm oaks and cork oaks grow on this land. There are also wells. Like today, the estate could be home to horses that can galop around in absolute freedom on the plains here, beneath one of Europe’s most magnificent starry skies.
