Our opinion

Nine centuries cannot be explained. They can be read in the stone, in the thickness of the walls, in the way the light streams through the mullioned windows of the Prior’s Hall, just as it did in the 15th century, when the Benedictine monks of St Giles still had a say over these hills. The Dissolution of the Monasteries changed hands, not the spirit. The Georgian and Victorian periods superimposed their own languages upon the medieval fabric, and Little Malvern Court has become what few estates manage to be: a place where time accumulates without contradicting itself. The Malvern Hills on one side, the Severn Valley on the other. In between, 15 hectares of formal gardens, topiary, a Victorian kitchen garden, an orchard and parkland, two detached cottages, a triple garage with accommodation, and terraces from which the view stretches as far as the eye can see. Some properties tell the story of an era. This one spans several without betraying any of them.
