Our opinion
In the ancient city of Trujillo, cradle of the conquistadors, a 16th-century Renaissance palace with golden stone walls. Built by the architect Francisco Becerra according to Gothic and Renaissance canons, the building reveals a unique architectural feature: a corner window adorned with a semicircular arch. Entirely restored in keeping with its authenticity, the palace harmoniously combines the nobility of exposed stone with weathered woodwork. The seven en suite bedrooms are spread over several levels, some with private terraces. The stone-vaulted library, the main lounge lit by the famous corner window and the imposing fireplace make up an elegant ensemble. In the enclosed garden, the swimming pool with its local stone coping stones is a natural part of the setting, just a few steps from the Plaza Mayor.
