Our opinion
This property, a vast estate for tourism and farming, lies near Europe’s largest artificial lake with its delightful beaches and water sports. The grounds are entirely enclosed. You reach the estate via a road that runs through pasture to a restaurant with 160 place settings. A little higher up, there is a traditional house with a 120m² floor area. A small olive grove lies beside the dwelling, as does sloping woodland with an impressive view of the valley. On the other side, there is a building that was once used for incubating ostrich eggs. Indeed, ostriches were once bred on this estate. The outhouses offer a floor area of 230m². There are two wells on the grounds, as well as two springs and two boreholes. The property’s location is remarkable, near the beaches of Alqueva Lake and surrounded by the undulating landscape of Portugal’s beautiful Alentejo region.
