Our opinion

This vast estate just outside the small town of Ferreira do Alentejo is the promise of contemplating the golden plains of Portugal’s Alentejo region from up in the sky. In the middle of these grounds, there is the main house, which was built recently but in a traditional style that is typical of the local region. It include three suites, a fitness room and several bathrooms decorated with azulejo ceramic tilework. The rooms are adapted for both winter and summer comfort with underfloor heating and air conditioning. The rest of the property includes a caretaker’s house, a dwelling that adjoins the main house, a chapel and a large, heated swimming pool beside a tree-dotted garden. The property’s remarkable highlight is its aerodrome, which is certified with the international ICAO/EASA accreditation. This aerodrome’s runway is 558 metres long. Next to it there is a hangar that can house several aircraft. The dwelling can be lived in as a self-contained home with several bedrooms. It stands beside land that can still be built upon. The adjoining farmland is well irrigated with several wells. The whole estate would be the perfect site for a business project in tourism or for a calm retirement, less than two hours from Lisbon by road.
