Location

In a landscape alternating between fields, vines and woods, the property, located in the Atlantic Arc, benefits from the climate of the Great West. Saintes is 15 minutes away by road, Cognac is 20 minutes away and La Rochelle is 45 minutes away, from which it is 2.5 hours to Paris by TGV train.

Description

The main dwelling faces north-south, with the outbuildings facing west. Most of the woodland lies to the north of the estate. The kitchen garden and orchard are to the south and west.

The manor house

Built in a rectangular shape, two storeys’ high, it is topped with a balustrade around the top, interrupted by triangular and curved pediments over the upper storey windows.


The ground floor
Once through the main entrance, you reach a wooden staircase leading up to the first floor. The floors in the various rooms are parquet and the ceiling rafters are made of red fir.
The upstairs
There are four bedrooms upstairs which need renovating.

The outbuildings

They have a total floor area of around 2 000 m². They include a dwelling adjoining the main building, comprising a kitchen that opens onto the living room, a utility room, two bedrooms and two shower rooms. This house has a south-facing terrace. The largest outbuildings are a vast barn, a wine storehouse, a hangar and a former fattening room. The property is enhanced by a pool that collects rainwater. A dovecote and a bread oven complete the outbuildings. Further north, in the woods, a hunting lodge is equipped with water and electricity.
