The Hesbaye-Liégeoise region is also known as “Belgium’s cereal granary”. The fertile land in this countrified region of Wallonia has long been the source of its inhabitants’ prosperity as is shown by the size of their farms and estates. This residence, just a few kilometres from Liège, stands near to a medieval village, also renowned for its wonderful, 17th century, French-style chateau. This meticulously renovated property comprises a main building with two wings, one containing a flat and the other a house. Its elegant brick facade is characteristic of the large, luxurious homes to be found in the region. Although the three dwellings are three separate lots, they can be purchased as a single property. This peaceful, wooded estate is set in a rural housing area and partially in a farming area. The surrounding hamlets abound in the country’s historical vestiges and monuments, Romanesque chapels and feudal mottes.
