Our opinion
An emblematic feature of the rural Alentejo, Quinta da Soneca outlines its immaculate, elegant silhouette against the rolling Alqueva countryside, on the edge of a vibrant village. Since its renovation in 2019, the estate has been devoted to tourist accommodation. Planted with 200 olive trees and numerous fruit trees, the 1.25 hectares of gently sloping grounds are completely enclosed by an ancient perimeter wall reinforced by a wire fence. The villa extends over a floor area of roughly 400 m² and boasts a particularly refined decor, enhanced here and there by traditional paintwork. The residence includes six suites, each with an en suite bathroom and private terrace. The light-filled complex also includes a 60 m² studio flat for the owners. The property is fully air-conditioned, has its own water supply via a borehole and is self-sufficient in electricity thanks to solar panels. Enjoyable all year round, the covered terrace and large swimming pool promise unforgettable evenings in the warmth of the setting sun.
