Our opinion
At the end of winter, parts of the Algarve are blanketed in a white that is not snow: it is the blossom of the almond trees. Legend has it that a Moorish king had them planted for his wife, a princess from the North, who was inconsolable at no longer seeing winter. Between São Brás de Alportel and Loulé, a south-facing villa overlooks the hills from a plot of approximately 4,100 m². On a clear day, the sea can be glimpsed in the distance. Two levels, separate yet connected, allow for entertaining without sacrificing privacy. In the garden, the fruit trees are already in place, the vegetable patch awaits its turn, and a private borehole supplies the water. In winter, the fireplace. In spring, the terrace. And in between, that month when the almond trees bring the legend to life once more.
