Our opinion
Southern Italy, Apulia, Carovigno, 30 minutes from Brindisi airport, 15 minutes from the Torre-Guaceto nature reserve and its white sandy beaches. The white town of Ostuni is nearby. The scenery is dotted with ancient olive, almond and fig trees which bear abundant fruit in the summer. Just over one hectare of land slopes gently downwards, interspersed with a few dry-stone walls. Designed by Luca-Zanaroli, the house follows the slight gradient of the land and is surrounded by large terraces. 3 bedrooms, 3 shower rooms, 2 outdoor showers. The ground floor gives a 180° view over the sea, whilst the roof terrace has a 360° view over a sea of olive trees. Huge cement steps that showcase one of the property’s most remarkable ancient olive trees lead to an infinity swimming pool concealed behind a dry-stone wall.
