Our opinion
In Wotton-under-Edge, at the gateway to the Cotswolds, a neo-classical residence built between 2009 and 2011. The hand-cut Syreford stone façade features a Palladian composition punctuated by a portico with columns and a triangular pediment. The double-height entrance hall features an elaborate metal staircase and plaster mouldings. Five bedrooms with en suite bathrooms occupy the first floor. An independent artist's studio and a guest annexe complete the ensemble. The landscaped gardens are laid out around a natural pond. Contemporary architecture combining traditional skills and modern comforts in a green setting facing the Cotswold hills.
